Delhomme in, Quinn likely out

Holmgren appeared determined to find an experienced starting quarterback to run the Browns' new West Coast offense and sounded convinced that ex-Carolina Panther Jake Delhomme was the one he wanted. So Holmgren wooed Delhomme so strongly that Delhomme never made his scheduled visit to New Orleans on Friday and Saturday, according to a league source. Delhomme, 35, was released by the Panthers on March 4, despite being owed $12.68 million in guaranteed money. He compiled a 58-40 record as a starter for seven seasons with the Panthers.
