Chiefs, Eagles Not Familiar Foes
NFL Blog on AOL Sports Fanhouse &bull Aug 27, 2010
Since the NFL and AFL announced their 1970 merger in 1966, Philadelphia and Kansas City have been eligible preseason partners. But until Friday night's matchup in the debut of the renovated Arrowhead Stadium, the Eagles and Chiefs have only met once in preseason, back in 1979 when Arrowhead was just seven years old. Philadelphia… Full Story »

Arrowhead Pride &bull Aug 25, 2010
DE Wallace Gilberry continues to see increased looks with first-team personnel. He received a handful of reps today alongside NT Ron Edwards and DE Glenn Dorsey. Again, keep an eye out for what role he plays defensively on Friday night. It's still too early to say this is a bust. However, if the 3rd player in the draft is still fighting for a job after his first year, you missed on your pick. The only silver lining is that maybe Pioli learns from his first major mistake and makes a creative move to fix his second major mistake - not… Full Story »

Jackson among Chiefs' front-seven weak spots
Pro Football Weekly &bull Aug 20, 2010The Chiefs' defensive front seven was arguably the team's weakest unit in 2009, finishing second-to-last in the league in both run defense and quarterback sack percentage. Yet when Kansas City was addressing its needs this offseason, upgrading the backfield and… Full Story »

Chiefs Links: Spirited End To AM Practice
Arrowhead Addict &bull Aug 18, 2010
After stopping the offense on consecutive plays from the 3, defensive tackle Shaun Smith bellowed, "Run that again, run that again." Chiefs Training Camp: First Depth Chart Of The Year
Arrowhead Pride &bull Aug 9, 2010
The Kansas City Chiefs have released their first unofficial depth chart of the 2010 season. The complete depth chart is after the jump. Remember, though, it's just the first week of preseason. None of this, for better or worse, is set in stone. Arenas will do more nickelback stuff but if Carr should go down, I imagine he'd be able to… Full Story »

Chiefs: Love and hate
Clark Judge on CBS Sportsline &bull Aug 8, 2010
ST. JOSPEH, Mo. -- The Kansas City Chiefs share the same town where the Pony Express started and Jesse James was killed, and I wish I could think of some analogy there, but I can't. I just know that if you're going to make history maybe this is a good place to be. But the Chiefs don't need to make history. They just need to win games. They're 10-38 over the last three seasons, and that's not just bad; it's unacceptable. Coaches and management promise changes, and this could be the… Full Story »

Chiefs Training Camp: State Of The Nose Tackles
Arrowhead Pride &bull Aug 4, 2010
We're closing in on one week into Kansas City Chiefs training camp so I figured we'd take at the one position most people are worried about: Nose tackle. Running with the first team, for the vast majority of the time, is Ron Edwards. I don't think most feel he's the future at nose tackle because of a combination of his age and… Full Story »

Good morning, AP. We've made it to August. Today's Kansas City Chiefs news includes what is likely the last link to the Bob Gretz site as he goes to a subscription format later today. I know there are strong feelings about both him and paid content, but I wish him the best of luck. Keep reading for lots of camp updates from around the internet. Enjoy. He apologized to his teammates for the tardy arrival in a team meeting. During his first camp practice session Saturday morning, Berry made a veteran move by pulling quarterback Matt Cassel from the middle… Full Story »

Time Is On The Chiefs Side
Arrowhead Addict &bull Jul 12, 2010
I am sure some of our regular readers are taking a couple of weeks off. Will The Chiefs Front Seven Be A Problem In 2010?
Arrowhead Pride &bull Jul 8, 2010
The only additions would be Shaun Smith at nose tackle (backup) and Cameron Sheffield at outside linebacker (backup). So, really, not many changes have been made. The front seven was arguably the weakest area on offense or defense for the Chiefs. As you know, the coaching staff has done little upgrade and have talked about the guys already in-house improving. I'm looking at your Glenn Dorsey, Tyson Jackson, Tamba Hali and Derrick Johnson. It's hard to tell. Romeo Crennel… Full Story »
